Construction Engineering & Management is a specialization of Civil Engineering which is required to execute and manage large construction projects such as highways, bridges, tunnels, railways, airports, building complexes, water & wastewater treatment plants etc.

As India is lacking in infrastructure and is making huge investments in infrastructure sector, there will be huge demand in the job market for Civil Engineers with specialized knowledge in Construction Management.
What will I learn?
Apart from regular Civil Engineering subjects, you can learn the use of latest tools/software in Construction Management such as Primavera/ MS Project and in Structural Design such as STAADPRO/NISA and receive Certifications for the same. A 6 month internship experience on construction site may be provided.

AutoCAD 2D & 3D-Simulation: 2 storey and 3-storey building plan, Road plan, canal plan, commercial and industrial building plan etc.
MATLAB – Matrix analysis based on stiffness and FEM with the help of C, C+ and C++ programming.
STAAD Pro-simulation, Analysis and Design for the different elements of buildings considering different loading condition and Residential, commercial and industrial building practical design and analysis.
Primavera-Software, Project management, Project planning and scheduling, PERT and CPM based time management regarding project.
Arc GIS- basic tools for map viewing and map rastrigin, spatial data & Data Analysis.
ETABS – Design based software. Mainly used for the design of multistoried building considering bracing and shear walls.
ANSYS- Analysis based tool used for the analysis of dam, canal, blast resistant structure, earthquake resistant structure, flood control structure, pipe lines, sewerage system, hydraulic structures, buildings etc.
ABACUS- Analysis based tool used for the analysis of hydraulic structure, underground structure, FEM based analysis, Culverts, Road and Highway load analysis.
REVIT- Architectural based software used for the planning of different types of structures.
LS DYNA- FEM based software used for the analysis of extreme condition in the civil engineering.

What is Power, Switch Gear & Drive Technology?
Power is an important part of Electrical Engineering and it comprises of Power generation, transmission, distribution etc. Switchgear is the combination of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit breakers used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment. Switchgears are used both to de-energize equipment to allow work to be done and to clear faults downstream. This type of equipment is directly linked to the reliability of the electricity. Drive technology may employ any of the prime movers (Diesel engines, steam turbines and electric motors) for supplying mechanical energy for motion control.
Is there demand in the job market for this?
India is a country with huge population and huge area so it requires massive Power infrastructure. Many states in India are not yet receiving enough Power to meet its domestic and industrial demand. Hence huge investment is expected in this sector. Government of India is promoting private investment in Power sector. Hence there is great job potential in this area. Fault detection and protection are the major area where every industry is focusing. So there may be a wide area where students gets the job.
What will I learn?
Apart from regular EEE subjects, you can get training at Tata Power in the aspects of Power generation, transmission, distribution, safety etc. You will receive a special Certification from Tata Power for the same. ITM has developed Machine & generator Lab. A 6 month internship experience in companies in Electrical & Electronics Engineering may be provided.
What industries will hire me?
Students with expertise in Power are in demand by companies in the sector of Power generation, transmission and distribution and also by Utilities in Power Sector. Engineering graduates with good knowledge of switchgear & drive are hired in large number in the Electrical as well as Electronics industries such as Auto, Capital goods, Pharma, Chemicals & fertilizers, manufacturing. The option of joining various departments of Government and Public Sector industries such as BHEL, Power Corporation of India, Nuclear Power Corporation, NTPC, ISRO is also open.

With the wide penetration of smart phones at national and global level and continuous increase in its use, Android Applications are developed in large number for variety of purposes. Bank customers can use Android Applications for transactions. You can book a cab ride by using android applications of the companies like Ola, Uber on your smart phone. Apart from this there are general purpose / life style applications to monitor health, to track your running etc. There is huge demand for Computer Engineers with expertise in the emerging area of Android Application Development.
What will I learn?

Industrial Automation is widely practiced in manufacturing industries it comprises the use of PLC & SCADA. Industrial automation significantly improves quality and productivity. Pneumatic systems are extensively used in the industry and are powered by compressed air.
