In India, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) programmes are available as B.Sc., M.Sc., DMLT, and CMLT. B.Sc.
Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) takes three years with six semesters to complete, M.Sc. MLT takes two years with four semesters to complete, and CMLT and DMLT programmes take one year to complete. Students in the Medical Lab Technology (MLT) programme at ITM Vocational University, Vadodara, are taught various disease diagnosis and treatment techniques. In Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) at ITM Vocational University, Vadodara, students are trained to collect and store samples as well as perform tests to diagnose disease. They are also trained in the Medical Lab Technology (MLT) programme at ITM Vocational University, Vadodara, to prepare patient reports using software and provide them to specialists so that doctors can decide which type of treatment is best for the patients. Students who have completed their 12th with a science grade point average of at least 50% are eligible for the B.Sc.
