Optometry

This course intends to qualify students to carry out ophthalmic investigations. They will be able to do refraction work including prescription of glasses, contact lenses and low vision aids. Knowledge of recognizing common eye diseases, principles of fabricating spectacle lenses, etc will be taught. The course aims to enable student to work under the supervision of ophthalmologist so as to render assistance, develop skills and to perform other optometric jobs.
